Beautiful delicate garnet; aromas of pink roses, maraschino cherry and cardamom. Medium-full with impressive concentration and ripeness; good acidity, medium-weight tannins, ample wood notes and good persistence. Slight bitterness in teh finish, but otherwise an attractive, well-made Pinot Nero; enjoy over the next 3-5 years.

Bright red. Red cherry, violet and herbs on the nose and in the mouth. Juicy and nicely textured, with spicy red cherry and berries complicated by autumnal notes on the long, juicy, saline finish. Very good.​

This wine is beautifully stitched together. The 2016 Alto Adige Pinot Noir Saltner offers a careful balance of aromas with equal emphasis on berry freshness and spice with delicate herbal accents and blue flowers. These elements are weighed carefully with equal importance. The aging regime includes 12 months between barrique and tonneaux, and the resulting oak toast and spice creates nice framing for the crisp berry fruit that is the true protagonist here.​
