Kaltern | Pinot Grigio 'Soll' 2022 | 88 | Bright, medium yellow; delicate aromas of pear, apple and elderflowers. Medium-bodied, this is straightforward with good acidity, a clean, dry finish and nice harmony. This lacks complexity, but it a pleasant quaffer. Enjoy over the next 1-2 years.
Kaltern | Pinot Grigio 'Soll' 2021 | 91 | Bright, delicate yellow; inviting aromas of red apple, Bosc pear and jasmine. Mediumbodied with excellent ripeness and varietal purity, very good acidity, first-rate complexity, and notable persistence; there is a juiciness to this wine that gives it instant appeal. Enjoy over the next 2-3 years.
Kaltern | Pinot Grigio 'Soll' 2021 | 91 | The 2021 Alto Adige Pinot Grigio Soll is punchy and bright with great acidity and drying sensations at the back. The wine falls gently onto the palate with rather neutral Golden Delicious apple and pear, but the pretty mineral elements ultimately define this vintage. The wine sees nine months of aging in stainless steel and large oak casks. Some 25,000 bottles were made. |
