Bright, medium deep yellow; aromas of melon, almond and a hint of anise. Mediumfull, this has classic Verdicchio character, very good acidity, and a distinct note of sapidity in the finish. Well-balanced, this is impressive now and has the structure to drink well for another 7-10 years.

The 2021 Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Fontevecchia lifts from the glass with a dusty mix of dried yellow flowers, apricots and hints of gingery spice. It's round with a burst of minerality up front that creates a reverberation of tension on the palate, as tart orchard fruits cascade throughout. This finishes impressively long, sizzling upon the palate with youthful intensity as pretty inner florals slowly fade.
