Here's an intense and flavorful '01 just beginning to hit its stride. The scents evoke a forest floor in their earthiness, with the dark savor of bluefoot mushrooms. A stroke of tannin closes off the plum skin and juicy black cherry flavor, then the succulent richness of the fruit is back in the end, growing bolder with air. Ready over the next several years.
